Measure an extinct giant, calculate how far you’ve walked, and discover how Irish algebra helped to land a man on the moon…

Just some of the activities in these FREE trails that will get you exploring familiar and less well-known locations.

There are activities for all the family, ranging from simple ones for ages 6-plus, to tricky ones for those who enjoy a challenge!  They may include counting, measuring and calculating, and you can pick and choose the questions you like.  Tackle the trails as a team – or go it alone.

Each trail takes about 60-90 minutes.  Download and print the PDF, and you are ready to explore. Each pack includes a map and full instructions.  Bring: a pen, clipboard, metre of string, and your sense of curiosity!
