‘A must-have for schools and anyone interested in science’. Sunday Business Post
Trinity College is Ireland’s oldest university, and probably the country’s most ingenious quarter — they’ve been discovering and inventing things there for over 400 years! Our audio guided walking tour takes you around this historic campus, on a stroll that includes art, architecture and stonework, as well as scientific discoveries. If time allows, you can visit the college geology museum — it’s a gem of a museum hidden in an attic, and one of our favourite Dublin museums.
Along the way, you’ll see the engine that revolutionised the 20th century, and hear about the man who split the atom, and the geologist who invented the humane hangman’s drop. These are just some of the stories awaiting you on this free podcast tour, which we created for TCD’s Faculty of Engineering, Mathematics and Science, in association with the Science Gallery. The tour takes about 90 minutes.
