Free activity trail for schools & families
Your mission: Discover how Dublin city works, and how everything around us is engineered, as you follow our Liffey trail. Along the way, collect six clues to reveal the name of an ingenious Dublin engineer, and to finish, design a new bridge across the Liffey.
Your route: start at Grattan Bridge, and follow the river clockwise in a circuit, along the quays and the boardwalk, to end at the Civic Offices on Wood Quay.
The trail takes about an hour. Bring: a pen and a copy of the trail (and maybe the cheat sheet too!). A clipboard, and camera are handy. Pack some fruit, and your sense of curiosity, wrap up warm, and you are ready to explore.
This Ingenious Metropolis trail was devised and developed by Ingenious Ireland for STEPS ¦ Engineers Ireland, for Engineers Week 2013.
